Cookie Statement
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files a website can store on or read from your device. Pixels, scripts, local browser storage and similar technologies can also process information. In this statement, “cookies” includes these technologies where relevant.
2. Who uses these technologies?
This website is operated by Geurts, Webdesign en Development, trading as
Geurts Webdesign & Development,
James Johnsonstraat 60,
3543 GD Utrecht, Netherlands.
Dutch Chamber of Commerce registration: 59412259.
Send questions to info@geurtswebdesign.com.
3. Functional and essential technologies
These technologies are needed for the website or a feature you expressly requested to work. Examples include remembering a privacy or language choice and maintaining a secure admin session. Prior cookie consent is unnecessary only where the legal exemption applies.
A “security” or “functional” label does not automatically qualify a technology for the exemption. We assess each technology’s purpose, necessity and actual processing.
4. Google Analytics
Google Analytics can help us understand how people use the website, including which pages they visit and how they interact with them. Depending on the setup, this involves processing online identifiers, browser and device data, and visit information.
Analytics technologies that affect privacy require prior consent. Measurement without cookie consent is possible only if the specific setup meets the legal exemption for statistics with limited impact on privacy.
5. Google Tag Manager
Complianz currently loads Google Analytics directly after you consent to statistics. We do not currently use a Google Tag Manager container. If we use Google Tag Manager later, we will update this statement and the consent settings before activating new tags.
6. Advertising pixels and marketing
We currently run no advertising campaigns. We may use Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn in the future. Advertising pixels can measure whether someone visits a website or takes an action after seeing an ad. They can also be used for audiences and targeted advertising.
Before introducing new advertising tracking, we update the information and consent settings. Tracking and similar marketing technologies that require consent are subject to your prior consent. Visiting, scrolling or submitting a form does not itself constitute consent.
7. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect forms from spam and automated abuse. Google assesses technical signals and interactions during a visit. reCAPTCHA v3 uses a risk assessment without a standard checkbox.
We have enabled blocking reCAPTCHA before consent and after withdrawal in Complianz. If you cannot use a form, contact info@geurtswebdesign.com.
8. Technologies we use
We maintain this list with Complianz and the available descriptions from Cookiedatabase.org. It covers cookies and similar browser storage. Some entries relate to WordPress administration or website editing and apply only when you are logged in. Not every entry applies to every visitor. The list indicates where a purpose or duration is unknown.
A cookie’s lifetime is how long it can stay on your device. This differs from a provider’s data retention period. We have set Google Analytics user and event data retention to fourteen months.
Google Fonts: We use Manrope and Inter, served locally from our own server. Your browser does not need to contact Google Fonts servers to load them.

9. Giving, refusing and changing consent
For technologies that require consent, you are given a clear choice before activation. Non-essential categories must not be preselected. You can refuse them and withdraw consent you previously gave. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on valid consent before withdrawal.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Deleting existing cookies does not automatically prevent new cookies. To do that, also change your privacy preferences or browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may limit parts of the website. Refusing non-essential tracking should still allow you to ask an ordinary question.
10. Third parties and international processing
Google may process data under its terms. This may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. For details on providers and international processing, see our privacy notice.
More from Google: privacy policy and terms.
11. Questions and updates
Send questions about cookies or privacy choices to info@geurtswebdesign.com. We update this statement when the technologies or settings change.
